Why can't I edit some details of my reservation?

From your web control panel, when accessing the Reservations tab, you may see the message This reservation does not allow modifications when trying to edit certain data in some reservations.

This occurs in specific situations that restrict editing to maintain consistency with external systems such as integrations linked to your account or the reservation status itself. Below are the most common cases:

  • Reservations received from PMS / Channel Manager or Public API

These include reservations coming from integrated PMS systems or the Public API. For this type of reservation, the basic information is provided by another system and therefore cannot be modified in our platform. As a result:

    • You will not be able to edit main guest details such as name, email, or phone number.

    • You can edit the reservation description, instructions, and total number of guests. This allows you to customize the guest experience without breaking the integration with your external system.

  • Reservations received from OTAs via iCal (Booking.com, Airbnb, Vrbo)

    • You will not be able to change the property assigned to the reservation, nor edit check-in and check-out dates.

    • You can edit main guest details, description, total number of guests, and instructions.

  • Reservations created in Check-in Scan that are cancelled, blocked, or completed

When a reservation is cancelled, blocked, or completed (after the check-out date), all fields are locked and cannot be modified.

  • Reservations with registered guests

When a reservation already has guests who have completed and signed the check-in form, certain data can no longer be modified.

This is because, once the check-in form is signed, the information is legally validated.

For this reason, the system locks reservation data to ensure the integrity of the recorded and signed information.

What can I do if I need to edit external or cancelled reservations?

  • For external reservations, you must make changes in the original system (such as your integrated PMS) so they can sync correctly.

  • For cancelled reservations, you must create a new manual reservation with the correct data.

  • For blocked reservations, you can change the status to activated.
