Why can't I edit some details of my reservation?

From your web dashboard, when accessing the RESERVATIONS tab, you may sometimes see the message “This reservation does not allow modifications” when trying to edit certain information.

This happens in specific situations where editing is restricted to maintain consistency with external systems, such as integrations connected to your account, or due to the reservation's current status. Below we explain the most common cases:

  • Reservations created through external platforms

This includes reservations coming from integrated PMS, iCals, or via the Public API. For these types of reservations, the basic information is synced from another system and therefore cannot be modified from within our platform. As a result:

  • You will not be able to edit the main guest’s information, such as name, email, or phone number.

  • You will be able to edit the reservation description and guest instructions. This allows you to personalize the guest experience without disrupting the sync with your external system.

  • Cancelled reservations

When a reservation is marked as cancelled, the following fields become locked:
Description, Instructions, and Guest Details. This prevents inconsistencies in records that are no longer active.

  • Blocked or finalized reservations

When a reservation is marked as blocked or finalized (i.e. once the stay has ended), all fields become non-editable. From that point on, and for reasons of control and traceability, no further changes can be made, ensuring the integrity of the reservation history.

What can I do if I need to edit a blocked reservation?

  • For external reservations, you must make the necessary changes in the source system (such as your connected PMS), so the information syncs properly.

  • For cancelled reservations, we recommend manually creating a new reservation if you need to enter different data.
