What is the generic link for my property and how to use it?

Updated over a week ago

If you want a single link for all your reservations, you can use the generic link of your property. At Check-in Scan, we aim to make guest self-check-in easier by offering several options:

  • Reservation link: Our platform generates a unique link for each reservation.

  • QR code: A QR code that guests will find upon arrival at the property to complete check-in.

  • Generic link: A unique link associated with your property that you can use for all reservations and check-ins, as it is not tied to any check-in or check-out date.

Here’s how to generate it:

Log into your account from the Web Control Panel, using your email and the password you created for Check-in Scan.

Click on the Properties - My Properties tab and then on Edit next to the property for which you want to create the generic link.

You will find a blue button to generate your property's unique link.

It’s instant. From this moment on, you will have a unique link for your property, which you can send to your guests through your preferred communication channel.

Remember that this generic link does not include associated check-in or check-out dates. When you send it to your guests, they will need to select both dates before completing the check-in.

NOTE: If you have a rural house, hostel, hotel, or guesthouse, you can also create a unique link for each room/bed. To do this, go to the Rooms tab and click the Generate unique link button for each room you have added.

You will have them available immediately, and you can copy them by clicking the copy icon Icono Copiar
