Integrating the Hostaway and Check-in Scan systems allows you to import useful information about your guests into the system to avoid entering it manually. With the integration, you can import your properties and rooms from Hostaway, reservations, guest names, email addresses, and phone numbers.
Go to your Hostaway account to copy your API Key.
Log in with your credentials on Hostaway.
Afterwards, head to Settings / Hostaway API and click on the "Create" button.
You'll need to give it a name so you don't get confused with other API Keys you might have.
Once created, you will be able to copy the Account ID and the API Key:
Now, you should go to the Check-in Scan system and paste it there:
2) In the upper right corner, navigate to My Account / Integrate PMS.
3) Click on the Hostaway icon.
4) Paste the Account ID and the API Key that you previously copied from the Hostaway system into the respective fields.
5) Press "Next".
The system will give you the option to choose which properties you want to import from Hostaway. If you have previously added them to Check-in Scan, you can also match them so they are connected to each other.
Once you have linked the properties, you just have to click on "Save and continue" and wait for the properties to be added.
Now you just have to click on "Finish" to end up with the process.
To conclude, you'll need to go back to the top menu under Properties - My Properties, activate the new properties, and edit any fields that remain to be completed.
