What is the Rental Registration Number (NRUA) and how to obtain it?

Updated over a week ago

The Rental Registration Number (NRUA) is an official identifier that certifies that a property intended for rental complies with current regulations and is properly registered with the corresponding public administration. This number is mandatory for tourist or short-term rentals and is usually required to advertise the property on online platforms.

Required Documentation

  • Property owner information.

  • Cadastral reference or property deed.

  • Property address and characteristics.

  • Declaration that the accommodation complies with applicable regional and municipal regulations.

How to apply:

You can apply in person (by visiting the Property Registry) or online (you must have the "Autofirma" application and a Digital Certificate installed). In both cases, it is necessary to submit the correctly completed form, available at the electronic headquarters:

In person: You can complete and download the form by clicking on the option corresponding to your situation.

Afterwards, you must submit the document at the Property Registry office of the municipality where the property is located.

Online: Access the Rental Registration Number application via this link or by clicking "aquí".

By clicking "aquí", a document similar to the following will open, displaying your provisional NRUA:

This way, you can access your application, where the provisional Unique Rental Registration Number of your property will be shown.

On this website, you will find a manual and an explanatory video of the process, which we recommend consulting to complete the procedure.

Once your application has been evaluated, you will receive an official notification confirming it.
